Engineer II

Provide direct day-to-day support to the manufacturing operations within the plant, with an emphasis on perishable/non-perishable tooling and part coating.
Specify perishable tooling, maintain tooling and fixture machine drawings, establish tooling min & max levels, determine cost-effective tooling and establish tool life.
Conduct tool tests for machining and drilling operations.
Optimize coating processes to reduce waste and emissions.
Work with customers on packaging specifications.
Create and maintain documents including creation/revision of APQP documentation, manufacturing or process work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Develop machining process sheets and tool layouts using AutoCAD.
Work with team members and other functional areas to resolve customer issues related to quality, design and/or other issues related to the process and equipment.
Work with Product Engineering and the plant Quality Department to implement product changes.
Review and make recommendations to improve product design and processes.
Participate in identification and resolution of issues related to safety and ergonomics.
Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma workshops. Complete projects associated with events as required.
Special projects/assignments, as required. Education Requirements Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Machining or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field. May substitute experience and an Associate Degree for Bachelor's Degree, where experience and Associate Degree is directly applicable to position. Experience and Skill Requirements ?Minimum three to five years as manufacturing engineer or machining engineer.
Prior experience working closely with the manufacturing floor to identify and resolve technical problems.
Experience or familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma concepts and principles.
Experience or familiarity with part coating.
Experience on CNC Turning & Machining centers. Working knowledge of nodular, grey-iron and/or steel machining processes.
Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office, CNC programming, and AutoCAD.
Excellent time and project management skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
